MDS LLC sets new ESG benchmarks across emerging markets with 2025 sustainability report
Turning environmental responsibility into operational momentum through GRI standards, ISO certifications, and active carbon management
Across today’s technology landscape, true market leadership requires more than digital innovation, it demands a sustained commitment to responsible growth, operational integrity, and environmental stewardship. Demonstrating what that commitment looks like in practice, Midis Group affiliate Mideast Data Systems LLC (MDS) has released its MDS-Sustainability-Report-2025, marking a milestone chapter in its ESG journey.
Prepared in reference to Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Standards, the report offers external partners, enterprise customers, and internal teams, a transparent view into how MDS is embedding sustainable practices directly into their daily operations across the region.
Measurable progress in carbon management
At the core of the 2025 report are a series of verified operational achievements aimed at reducing environmental impact. For the 2025 reporting period, MDS successfully matched 100% of its electricity consumption using certified renewable energy (I-RECs), while retiring Gold Standard-certified carbon credits to address reported Scope 1 and Scope 3 greenhouse gas emissions.
Beyond emissions management, the past year marked significant advances in establishing an internationally recognized operational framework:
- Standardized Governance: Published MDS’s inaugural GRI-referenced report alongside earning the ISO 50001:2018 Energy Management System certification.
- Supply Chain Transparency: Expanded greenhouse gas accounting models to capture critical Scope 3 emissions across broader operations.
- Actionable Circularity: Rolled out a structured enterprise recycling program in direct partnership with the Emirates Environmental Group (EEG).
“The publication of our 2025 Sustainability Report represents an important milestone for MDS” noted Khaled H. Nehme, Projects Director at MDS. “It reflects our commitment to transparency, continuous improvement, and the integration of sustainability into our business operations. We are proud of the progress achieved and remain committed to building a more sustainable future for our stakeholders, communities, and the environment.”

Regional recognition & industry leadership
MDS’s progress extends well beyond internal metrics. The team’s March 2026 active involvement at the Eco Industrial Expo Forum and Exhibition in Abu Dhabi, the UAE’s flagship forum for clean industry solutions highlighted its growing role in regional sustainability dialogue.
That dedication was formally recognized in June 2026 when MDS earned the EcoVadis Bronze Medal, validating the strength of its environmental practices, ethical governance, and supply chain accountability.
Advancing group-wide sustainability goals
At Midis Group, milestones like MDS’s 2025 Sustainability Report embody the core strength of our regional network: combining localized operational excellence with world-class standards. By taking proactive ownership of its ESG footprint, MDS not only elevates its own market standing, but demonstrates how the entire Midis Group ecosystem continues to build long-term value for clients, partners, and local communities across emerging markets.
