Broadcom’s Saudi Arabia DLP Cloud PoP now fully operational for customers onboarding
Cloud Access Security Broker Gateway is now operating within KSA data sovereignty
Riyadh, March 31: Broadcom’s Data Loss Prevention (DLP) cloud point of presence (PoP) for Saudi Arabia is now officially operational and ready to onboard customers. Broadcom’s DLP platform leverages a global network of cloud PoPs to help organizations protect sensitive data across web traffic, SaaS applications, email platforms, and APIs.
As organizations across the Kingdom continue to accelerate their digital transformation and cloud adoption, the availability of a locally hosted PoP strengthens the ability to align cloud security with national data sovereignty and residency requirements. Sensitive data inspection, policy enforcement, and processing can now take place within Saudi Arabia, enabling organizations to adopt advanced cloud security services while maintaining alignment with local data governance expectations.
“Building on our ongoing commitment to secure cloud innovation in the Kingdom, today we proudly advance that journey with the launch of Broadcom’s Saudi-hosted DLP Cloud services” said Nehme Mouchantaf, Vice President, MBCOM Technologies. “This reinforces data sovereignty and enables organizations to accelerate their cloud transformation with confidence, compliance, and uncompromised security while benefiting from the full capabilities of Broadcom’s global DLP platform.”
The new service simplifies compliance and reduces operational complexity for businesses in Saudi Arabia. Organizations can easily set up and manage their data protection policies, monitor how sensitive data moves across cloud applications, web access, and email platforms, and generate clear reports to support governance and compliance. The platform also allows the same policies to be applied consistently across web, SaaS, email, and APIs, while integrating with existing on-premises Symantec DLP deployments to keep protection unified and centrally managed.
By hosting the service within the Kingdom, organizations benefit from lower latency, improved performance for SaaS access, and greater confidence that data inspection and enforcement occur locally. This helps simplify audits, reduce regulatory risk, and eliminate the need for complex architectures previously required to meet data residency mandates.
The service is particularly relevant for enterprises and government organizations across sectors such as finance, telecom, oil and gas, and the public sector — especially those undergoing cloud migration or digital transformation initiatives.
The Saudi-hosted DLP Cloud platform provides protection across multiple channels, including:
- CASB Gateway for monitoring and controlling cloud application usage
- DLP Cloud Detection Service (CDS) for CASB to protect sensitive data in cloud applications
- DLP CDS for Cloud SWG to inspect web traffic for sensitive data
- DLP CDS for Email to protect Microsoft 365 Exchange Online and Google Workspace Gmail
- DLP CDS REST API to integrate DLP policies directly into applications and workflows
