Midis Group affiliates excel at Gitex Global 2024

Celebrating a week of recognition, awards, key partnerships, and valuable networking in the Majlis VIP suite

For the past 15 years, Midis Group’s presence at GITEX GLOBAL has highlighted the Group’s unique capabilities and standing in the marketplace.

Midis Group affiliates had a very successful week at Gitex Global 2024 in Dubai. This year’s event was themed as a “Global Collaboration to Forge a Future AI Economy,” and there was plenty of collaboration taking place across all the Midis Group affiliates exhibition stands.

Midis Group affiliates win awards

Four affiliates won important awards during the week. Mindware were presented with a key award as Veritas Technologies LLC’s Top Distributor of the Year for Saudi Arabia, Gulf, Levant, and Africa. The Mindware team were then also pleased to accept the ‘Top Distributor AI Infrastructure’ trophy during the 2024 GEC Awards.

Key public sector recognition for a Midis Group affiliate came when Computer Direct Access received the “Successful Ally” Supplier Award from the Ajman Municipality. “This recognition reflects our commitment to collaboration and impactful solutions. Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey. Together, we will continue to drive positive change” the company wrote on their LinkedIn profile.

The Citrix team were also pleased to win an award from Ajman Municipality in the UAE at Gitex. Chemseddine Sid, Field Sales Manager for Northern Emirates, was present to receive the award from a representative of the Municipality. The award was given in ‘Appreciation of Collaboration – Honoring our allies in Success.’ The Ajman Municipality is currently a Citrix NetScaler customer and they use Citrix technology as primary ADC’s to secure and deploy applications.

The Arab Business Machine team proudly accepted the prestigious Ring MEA Distribution Partner Award at Gitex 2024, celebrating their standout achievements and contributions in the region. On the company LinkedIn profile, a spokesperson said this about the award: “This recognition proves our unwavering commitment to delivering Ring’s cutting-edge smart home solutions to customers throughout the Middle East and Africa. Receiving this award not only recognizes our hard work and dedication but also highlights our mission to enhance safety and security for homeowners in the region. It reinforces our position as a reliable and trusted partner in the rapidly evolving home security landscape.”

Matrix42 presented three major awards at Gitex 2024 to honor outstanding achievements among their top distributors. The first trophy went to TJDEED Technology, which was honored with the prestigious Partner Excellence Award for the Middle East, 2024. On their LinkedIn profile, a Matrix42 spokesperson congratulated TJDEED Technology in this way: “It’s more than a trophy — it’s a testament to the trust our partners place in us and the shared vision that drives us to push limits and create lasting impact. A heartfelt thank you to our amazing partners, clients, and the entire TJDEED team for making this milestone possible.

The second award went to Hawsabah for Partner Excellence in KSA. “Working together with such an outstanding partner has been a pleasure, and we look forward to achieving even greater milestones in the future!” said the Matrix42 spokesperson on LinkedIn.

Matrix42 gave their 2024 Distributor Excellence Award to EMT Distribution META. A spokesperson added congratulations to EMT Distribution META on LinkedIn: “Their commitment to quality service, efficiency, and customer satisfaction has set a new standard within our industry.”

Midis Group affiliate announcements at Gitex

Gitex Global serves as a premier platform for major announcements, from new partnerships and strategic agreements to significant business achievements.

Just days before the event, MDS SI announced the acquisition of a majority stake in AIdeology, the UAE-born start-up and leading provider of AI technologies and services. Sami Abi Esber, President of MDS SI, commented on the acquisition: “This acquisition further strengthens the Group’s AI capabilities in accelerating the digital transformation journeys of our clients.  By combining AIdeology’s expertise with MDS SI’s robust system integration services, partner ecosystem, financial strength, and geographic presence, we aim to be the catalyst and trusted partner for AI adoption across the region.”

During the week, another big agreement was announced – on October 17, Plant.Digital and eSolutionsMEA (UAE) announced a partnership which will see eSolutions operating as a new service supplier for Plant.Digital in Asset Intelligence. The agreement between business process automation solutions specialist Plant.Digital and eSolutions is set to have a significant impact on the Middle Eastern market, particularly in industries where operational efficiency and equipment reliability are becoming critical success factors.

Executive Vice President of MDS SI Group, Gaby Matar, commented on the partnership: “We are excited to partner with Plant.Digital to drive sustainable digital transformation across industries. By combining eSolutions’ expertise in asset management with Plant.Digital’s advanced automation technologies, we will help clients enhance efficiency, maximize profitability, and promote sustainability. Together, we’re empowering companies to achieve operational excellence.’’

Another major announcement at GITEX came from MBCOM Technologies. October 16 saw the announcement that KEMS Zajil Telecom, a subsidiary of Kalaam Group and a leader in digital solutions, had signed a Memorandum of Understanding with MBCOM Technologies. MBCOM Regional Director for the Gulf and Pakistan, Mr. Mohsin Shafique, expressed excitement about the partnership. “By working with KEMS Zajil Telecom, a trusted name in ICT solutions, we’re excited to bring innovative technologies to businesses across the Middle East. This partnership will empower organizations to enhance their digital infrastructure and cybersecurity, enabling them to be more agile and secure in a fast-changing digital world.”
