MBCOM Technologies, a Broadcom & VMware representative, hosts successful VMware Executive Connect in Cairo
MBCOM welcomed banking and public sector teams alongside senior stakeholders from oil & gas, telecom, and commercial enterprises
MBCOM Technologies, a Broadcom & VMware representative, proudly hosted the VMware Executive Connect customer event on July 9 in Cairo.
It was the first face-to-face initiative representing VMware solutions under MBCOM’s leadership in Egypt, signalling a significant step forward in local and regional business engagement.
VMware Executive Connect was specifically designed for executive-level attendees from banking, public sector organizations, and various industries, many of whom contributed to the panel discussions. This diverse mix of attendees not only underlined the strategic importance of the event but also enhanced the dialogue on how VMware’s solutions intersect with pressing industry needs.
The event took place at the Marriot Hotel, Zamalek, just days after a nationwide outage across internet, mobile, and landline services in Egypt. Despite these challenges, the strong ownership and quick execution by the team on the ground ensured that the event was not just a logistical success but a major triumph for the MBCOM Egypt sales team in terms of strengthening business relations and showcasing resilience.
The afternoon began with a welcome keynote from Amr Salah, Regional Director, North Africa, Levant & Egypt at MBCOM Technologies, followed by an opening note from Anas Jwaied, VP & GM Emerging Markets.
At the event, MBCOM Technologies were honored to host members of the management team from Broadcom: Juan Rubira, Head of Commercial and Channel and Nassif Fakhoury, Principal Technology Strategist. Juan Rubira discussed the commercial aspects of VMware, emphasizing how these can drive business growth and operational efficiency. The presentations and discussions notably enriched the understanding of VMware’s role in transforming business landscapes. Nassif Fakhoury delivered an insightful presentation on VMware Cloud Journey and “The Future of Banking IT: The Evolving Role of Private Cloud in Egypt.”
The evening session included interactive learning games and concluded with an executive round table and a gala dinner. This blend of educational and networking activities not only provided immediate value to the attendees but also reinforced long-term business relationships.
Amr Salah thanked his team for their efforts: “congratulations to the entire NALE MBCOM team for their great engagement in making this event a huge success. For those who missed it, stay tuned – the next VMware event is just around the corner!”
