Commvault SHIFT cyber resilience events are a big success in Bucharest and Cairo

Four more inspiring SHIFT Events are in the pipeline

Commvault Systems, the American cyber resilience and data protection software company, is running SHIFT, a global cyber resilience roadshow in 40 key business locations across the world. The successful SHIFT Bucharest took place on June 3, and SHIFT Cairo impressed attendees on July 1.

More inspirational SHIFT events are planned with SHIFT Nairobi, Kenya on September 12, followed by events in Lagos, Nigeria, Prague, Czech Republic, and Morocco in 2026.

In Bucharest, SHIFT served as a key platform for collaboration, insight-sharing, and showcasing how Commvault and its partners are shaping the future of secure, cyber resilient enterprises. SHIFT Cairo reinforced Commvault’s leadership in data security and recovery, while celebrating Egypt’s growing role in the region’s cybersecurity landscape.

 

 

SHIFT Bucharest

Commvault SHIFT Bucharest took place at the Mina Museum, bringing together leading voices in data resilience, cybersecurity, and AI innovation. The event opened with welcome notes from Marius Miclescu, Country Manager, Commvault, followed by a visionary keynote from Fady Richmany, Corporate Vice President & General Manager EMEA Emerging Markets, on reimagining resilience in a cloud-first world.

Key sessions included platform innovations from Commvault, insights into AI 2.0 and cyber resilience, with strategic partner contributions from Hitachi Vantara, Microsoft, and Fsas Technologies. A standout C-level panel tackled the state of cyber resilience in Romania, with thought leaders from Orange, Superbet Group, and PPC Romania.

Breakout discussions addressed critical topics like incident response, GenAI with data sovereignty, and regulatory readiness under DORA and NIS2. The event wrapped up with a fireside chat on evolving from operational recovery to true cyber resilience, followed by networking and an immersive closing experience during Happy Hour.

Commvault SHIFT Cairo, held on July 1, brought together industry leaders, partners, and technology experts to spotlight the future of cyber resilience in a cloud-first era. The event kicked off with a welcome from the local team, followed by a keynote from Fady Richmany, emphasizing Commvault’s vision for modern resilience strategies.

Key highlights included:

  • A compelling session from Mohamed El Zomor, Senior Sales Director – Data Solutions CEEMETA | GM Dell Egypt, on collaborative business continuity,
  • The unveiling of the Global Centre of Excellence – Egypt by Mohamed Mortada, Head of Egypt Global Service Center, Commvault
  • Partner-driven insights from Microsoft Egypt showcasing real-world applications of secure and resilient IT frameworks.
