LEBANON — September 9–13: Vertiv and MDS Energy have convened a multi-day strategy retreat in Lebanon to align on a joint five-year growth roadmap, combining business planning, knowledge-sharing, and cross-team collaboration.
The program brought together leaders, partners and operating teams to exchange views on regional demand, prioritize opportunities and synchronize execution plans. Sessions focused on data centers, emerging ‘AI factory’ architectures, and enterprise innovation—underscoring a shared commitment to sustainable digital transformation across the region.
Day one opened with a keynote from Sami Abi Esber, President, MDS System Integration Group. Karsten Winther, Vertiv President for Europe, Middle East and Africa, also delivered a Vertiv keynote, with a subsequent message from Vertiv CEO Giordano Albertazzi. Jihad Abi Saleh (President of EastGulf – Qatar) and Tassos Peppas (Regional Director, Middle East, South East Europe, Turkey & Central Asia, Vertiv) then outlined the joint five-year growth program and areas of commercial focus.
Companies from across the MDS System Integration network participated, including MMR, Qatar Site & Power, MDS Oman, Jordan Data Systems, Sama Vision Data Systems, Site & Power UAE, Site & Power Kuwait, MDS CFS, and Bahrain Data Systems.
Subsequent days featured team presentations, working sessions, and a hands-on team-building activity designed to strengthen collaboration across functions and geographies. The retreat concluded with the Annual Gala Dinner, celebrating recent achievements, partners momentum, and the collective push toward the next phase of expansion.
More than an offsite, the gathering served as a concrete step toward a unified, five-year execution agenda, anchored by closer Vertiv–MDS Energy alignment and a clear plan to scale opportunities across key markets.
