Midis Group Local Office affiliate companies played a significant role at the GITEX Nigeria event, which took place from September 1-4 in the capital city of Abuja and Lagos, the country’s largest city. Across the nation and the continent, our Local Office experts are advancing transformative technologies, building strategic partnerships, and unlocking opportunities.

GITEX Nigeria united key players in the region’s digital economy, including government officials, corporate executives, and tech leaders. As a premier public-private event in West Africa, it offered a platform to explore Nigeria’s digital market opportunities.

The event comprised two main phases: the exclusive Government Leadership and AI Summit (September 1-2, 2025, in Abuja), focusing on digital and AI governance, and the GITEX Nigeria Tech Expo (September 3-4, 2025, in Lagos), the largest tech gathering in West Africa with over 100 exhibitors across various industries. Midis Group served as the Emerging Technologies Partner for this four-day event.

“We are committed to doing business in Africa and Nigeria is one of the top locations, a strong nation right in the center of the continent with immense influence and drive. We have been partnering with GITEX in Dubai and Morocco for years and we plan to partner as well in Nigeria as we know it will be one of Africa’s largest tech and startup events” said Ernest Sales, President Local Office and Co-President Retail at Midis Group.

“GITEX Nigeria reflects our commitment to advancing the nation’s digital vision and driving transformative opportunities across the region, reinforcing Nigeria’s role as a cornerstone of Africa’s innovation-led future. We have high hopes to be able to connect with executives from Nigeria and many more African countries and present our HW and SW solutions” added Ernest Sales.

During our recent event, our Local Office teams showcased an impressive array of solutions and services within a well-designed 90sqm booth. Simultaneously, the IBM team, operated by MIBB, extended a warm welcome to customers and potential clients from a dedicated 45sqm booth, creating a dynamic atmosphere for engagement.
